CareUPLIFT

CareUPLIFT is a hybrid learning programme designed to support care workers in Cornwall to feel confident in an increasingly data driven and technology enabled care sector. The course was created for Proud to Care Cornwall by TECwomen CIC with consultants from Lilac Duck and The Helpful Clinician providing critical expertise from across social care, technology enabled care and workforce development. As the care sector continues to move towards more proactive and preventative care, CareUPLIFT helps participants recognise the vital role they play in identifying needs, spotting patterns and improving outcomes for the people they support. Over three weeks, participants will explore how to identify issues, gather useful information, understand patterns and turn observations into practical improvements. Rather than focusing on specific technologies, the programme is built around the skills care workers already use every day: observation, communication, problem solving and person-centred thinking. Through a series of practical activities, participants will create an Issue & Pattern Log, develop User Stories, and build a Prevent & Respond Plan based on a real challenge from their own work. By the end of the programme, participants will have greater confidence in using information to support decision making, contributing ideas for improvement, and helping shape a more proactive, preventative and person-centred future for care.
