Where care experience meets confidence, prevention and improvement.

CareUPLIFT is a hybrid learning programme designed to support care workers across Cornwall to feel confident in an increasingly data-driven and technology-enabled care sector. Created for Proud to Care Cornwall by TECwomen CIC, with specialist consultants from Lilac Duck and The Helpful Clinician, the programme brings together expertise from social care, workforce development and technology-enabled care.

As care services continue to move towards more proactive and preventative approaches, CareUPLIFT helps participants recognise the important role they already play in identifying needs, spotting patterns and improving outcomes for the people they support.

Through a practical and supportive learning experience, participants build confidence in using information, observations and communication to contribute to better decision making and more person-centred care.

Unlike traditional digital training programmes, CareUPLIFT is not focused on learning specific technologies or systems. Instead, it is built around the skills care workers already use every day (observation, communication, problem solving and person-centred thinking) helping participants understand how these strengths connect to the future of care.

What you'll learn.

1. Spotting Issues & Understanding Patterns

Learn how to recognise changes, identify emerging concerns and spot patterns in everyday care situations. Participants will build confidence in using observations and information to support earlier intervention and more proactive care.

2. Turn Observations into Action

Explore how to gather meaningful information, communicate insights clearly and use practical tools such as Issue & Pattern Logs and User Stories to support better decision making and improved outcomes.

3. Creating Preventative & Person-Centred Solutions

Develop a Prevent & Respond Plan based on a real challenge from your own work setting, helping you apply person-centred thinking, problem solving and preventative approaches in day-to-day care practice.
