TEC Education Showcase

FREE event for primary and secondary teachers, home educators and parents who want to learn more about support for education in the areas of technology, engineering and creative digital. Perfect for new ICT leads, teachers running after-school clubs, and parents who want to do more at home with their kids.  

The event will be an informal mix of helpful talks, activities, and curriculum support, empowering you to feel more confident in incorporating technology, engineering and creativity into teaching. It's an open evening, so arrive at any time and join in the bits that are most relevant to you. 

Agenda:

- TEC Showcase -  (informal drop-in)

4:30pm - 7:30pm  Meet local support companies and organisations with a chance to explore, ask questions and learn about free support. 

- Talks -  

5pm - 5:30pm  Exploring the primary school computing curriculum with Digital Learning Cornwall and STEM Learning

5:30 - 6:00pm  Supporting clubs and extracurricular learning including Lego League, Coding, Minecraft, and Gaming 

6:00pm - 6:30pm Careers support and secondary school programs 

There will also be demos of different equipment, advice on buying kit, a fun TEC Toys raffle, and a chance to ask for support or help from the local tech community. 

We welcome you to bring your children along to this event and we will have a number of activities set up for them to have a play with.

There will be food and refreshments available in the networking area!
