digitalUPLIFT is where it all began - a new approach to skills development.

The digitalUPLIFT programme is a fully funded initiative, designed to empower women and people of underrepresented genders to explore, enter, or advance in the digital and tech sectors. Built on the belief that “all careers are digital,” digitalUPLIFT meets participants where they are - offering accessible, bite-sized learning and ongoing support through a community driven approach.

Through a mix of in-person workshops, online sessions, and mentoring, digitalUPLIFT helps demystify the digital landscape by unpacking digital skills and transferable strengths. Group workshops focus on building confidence, while individual mentoring provides tailored guidance. Participants join in a cohort model, fostering peer connection and shared learning, and are introduced to the TECwomen network - a supportive community including inspiring local role models and course alumni.

Accessibility is a core value: sessions are held in venues reachable by public transport, and the programme is carefully designed to be inclusive and flexible. By designing content for those at entry level or who are curious to see where their existing skill set can take them - digitalUPLIFT creates a welcoming space for exploration.

What sets digitalUPLIFT apart is its user-centred design and commitment to breaking down barriers. It doesn’t just teach digital skills, it nurtures self-belief and belonging. With an emphasis on representation, community, and real-world pathways, digitalUPLIFT equips participants to confidently step into or step up in the digital economy.
